Evaluasi penyelenggaraan surveilans COVID-19 di UPTD Puskesmas Pare Kabupaten Kediri

Surveillance is an important part of public health practice. Identification of cases of new COVID-19 that were suspected or confirmed are things essential for effective public health intervention and the basis for planning prevention of future pandemics. This study, aims to observations on the implementation of the COVID-19 surveillance system at UPTD Puskesmas (the public primary healthcare) in rural area Indonesia. The study was a descriptive study with an observational approach at public primary healthcare in rural area Indonesia. Research respondents were the epidemiological surveillance officers at Puskesmas. Data collection was carried out by interview and observation. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and compared with ministerial decree and surveillance guidelines. The implementation of the COVID-19 surveillance system has received special funding from the Kediri Regency District Level Health Office, data collection activities are active, data presentation is in tabulated form, data presentation variations and interpretation are not carried out, the survey system is simple, acceptable, reporting is on time, positive predictive value can be calculated, the system is sensitive because it can detect cases and can represent the incidence of cases in the working area of Puskesmas The challenge of COVID-19 surveillance epidemiological in rural area in Indonesia are limited number of surveillance personnel while having to handle several other disease epidemiological surveillance activities. It is needed to surveillance officers receive training on variations in data presentation and ways of interpreting data.
