Description

Most of Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) beneficiaries are women, a mother who ever experienced having children and babies. During the period of parenting and childcare, mothers certainly encounter issues related to health reproduction and maternal and child health. Information seeking to solve those problems was unavoidable. This study aimed to asses maternal and child health related information in the PKH group beneficiaries, how they obtain it and the quality of it. We involved 76 PKH beneficiaries and asked them to fill our questionnaire. The questionnaire consists of 12 questions about what kind of maternal and child health related information they searched the most and how they obtain it. Sampling techniques was simple random sampling. The study found that the information PKH beneficiaries mostly sought was Family Planning (85%). They talk directly to the local midwives (40%) about it and the information was qualified. Since midwives was an important source of maternal and child health information for PKH beneficiaries, the PKH facilitators need to involved local midwives more often in PKH regularly group meeting, so they can meet their maternal and child health information.
